Travel Vlog: Ljubljana to Copenhagen via Frankfurt/Zurich - A Business Trip Adventure (2026)

In early March 2026, I embarked on a business trip to Lund, Sweden, with a unique itinerary. My outbound journey was a Lufthansa flight from Ljubljana to Copenhagen via Frankfurt, and the return trip was with Swiss via Zurich. This trip report delves into the details of each leg, offering a comprehensive analysis of the experience. From the moment I arrived at Ljubljana Airport, I noticed several changes, including self-service check-in kiosks and reconfigured baggage drop-off belts. The flight to Frankfurt was uneventful, but the cabin of the CRJ900LR felt somewhat cramped. The flight to Copenhagen was delayed, but the sector itself was uneventful. Upon arrival at Copenhagen Airport, I took a direct train to Lund, which was punctual and comfortable. The return journey was operated by Swiss via Zurich, with a delayed departure but a smooth flight overall. At Zurich Airport, transfers within the Schengen area are seamless, even with a one-hour connection. The flight from Zurich to Ljubljana encountered strong turbulence but arrived with only a ten-minute delay. Upon arrival at Ljubljana Airport, our aircraft was directed to an unusual parking position due to ongoing renovation work. The airport is undergoing significant upgrades, including pavement overhaul and new parking positions. After a quick exit from the terminal, I headed for the airport shuttle to Ljubljana city center. One notable change was the high presence of taxi drivers on arrivals, actively approaching passengers. During the final approach of our flight from Zurich to Ljubljana, several ski resorts were visible from the aircraft. This bonus feature allowed me to identify ski centers in Austria, Italy, and Slovenia. Overall, my trip was a mix of business and exploration, with a seamless journey and some interesting observations along the way.
